Woooo!

Here's some actual stuff.

<-------------- That right thurr is a drawing we did in FA 321 (or 312... I get them mixed up), Advanced drawing. He set up a still life, and I picked one of the many static, uninteresting parts to work with and sketched it out. While walking around the room, though, I noticed that people were doing some really stylized stuff with their works, and I was so bored of the still life idea that I decided to follow suit. The iron and rag are realism, so I took the red from that and the green from the currently non-existent leaves (notice the niche in her shoulder?) and ran with it. Unfortunately, it's taking me a year and a half to finish this goddamn thing. Oh well. Teacher didn't care, I got credit for it :) My apple green pencil was obliterated, though, while the red stayed tall and strong. Must have been made with soft materials. This guy right here ---------------------->

... is from my other class, Intermediate Painting. Again, a still life, but paint is much faster, and this was about 1/3 of the size of the other. Not much to say about this one... I got tired of trying, since I realized that it was just supposed to be an exercise and not a full-fledged project, so that's why the ribbons look retarded. I'm kind of excited about the red thing, though - how you can see the ribbons and shadows from the inside.

Oh, and the green on the ball is some melty looking stuff that was on the still life. Not an accident!

The end.

I love the colors on both these, but especially the first.
