Steven's coat of arms!

So this is the coat of arms so far. I haven't colored the lions yet, and I definitely need some work with the pen tool to straighten out the linework, but otherwise I'm pleased with it. Not really sure how I'm going to transfer it to his longboard, and I'm not sure if it's worth the effort to finish shading it in PS if I'm just going to be repainting it on the board itself.

It doesn't really have a meaning. Nothing to do with his last name or anything, he just told me what he wanted on it and left the color scheme up to me. I spent a lot of time on websites such as this one, looking up the meanings behind different symbols, and different styles of the objects. We debated for a while on the crown style, but I think this one fits the best. I chose blue and silver for their aesthetic properties together, and their meanings: "Truth and loyalty" for blue, and "peace and sincerity" for the silver, which both fit him. He has a bit of a competitive streak in him, but I like to ignore that, har har.

My favorite part, though, is definitely the leafy mantle. Not only was it fun to draw and color, but to me it makes it seem like a real coat of arms, instead of an excuse to draw standing lions and swords. I like projects like this.

I'll post pictures of the board when I get it on there.
